Millard North High School has selected Naviance Family Connection to assist our students in managing the college and career planning process. Naviance Family Connection is a comprehensive website that students and parents can use as a tool in planning for their future.  Registration code information can be obtained by contacting the Counseling Office.  We encourage parents to sign on with their child so that they are involved in their personal and college and career planning.

Do What You Are
This personality assessment helps students focus on who they are and what educational path is best for them. Students complete the Self Discovery Assessment in 30 to 45 minutes and receive useful personality type information as well as individual suggestions for careers and college majors.

Explore Careers
Explore information on hundreds of careers. Each career listed has four tabs: an overview which includes a job description and related occupations, knowledge and skills, tasks and activities and wages.

Explore Interests
The Career Interest Profiler is a tool that can help you discover the types of work activities and careers that match your interests. The interest profiler has 180 questions about work activities that people do at their jobs.

Explorer Posts are worksite-based programs that give young people one-on-one experience with professionals in a variety of careers. It's a chance for you to learn about career choices, increase self-esteem and develop potential employment contacts. Students can choose from several career fields, including aviation, business, engineering, health care, law enforcement and more.  Take the survey and receive invitations to exploring posts related to your areas of interest.

This is a great website developed by the AIM Institute right here in Omaha. It includes career information for high school students and an extensive list of job opportunities.

UNL Career Services - Career Exploration:
See how your interests relate to UNL majors. This tool will help identify undergraduate majors related to your academic and career interests.

Workforce Development: 
Compare selected occupations by wages, annual openings, training, job prospects for the state of Nebraska.

Occupational Outlook Handbook:
Published by the US Dept of Labor, this handbook provides detailed information on several hundred different careers.
